HAD KIDS GOT TALENT!
A group of creative young designers from a Welwyn Garden City school have come up with some futuristic products that might find their way on to the shelves in our equipment centre one day!
18 students, from Commonswood Primary, designed an array of mobility products for HAD in a recent competition.

“The children were inspired after a visit to HAD’s equipment centre,” deputy head Sarah Manning explained. “They spent some time looking at wheelchairs, rollators & walking sticks & it certainly seems to have paid off!”
Year 2 students Amy & Vinnie each received a book as their prize. Amy’s piece of equipment was a cross between a wheelchair & a bicycle. While Vinnie’s robotic arm for his Nan included a motor to move; springs to bend & wires for control.
