AT HAD we never sell for the sake of selling. We believe it is very important that you have the right item for your condition and that you don’t need to spend more than you should.
A large number of our items can be bought without assessment as they speak for themselves. For example, we don’t assess people on whether a shoehorn is right for them, rather we assess for things that could cause harm if not used correctly.
You should always be offered an assessment when buying things like bathlifts, rise & recline chairs, profiling (adjustable) beds, hoists, mobility scooters etc, whether you buy from us or from any other disability retailer.
Seating Clinic
We offer comprehensive seating assessments through our Seating Clinic, lead by an Occupational Therapist, so you know you’re buying the right chair.
When you attend your appointment, the Occupational Therapist will discuss your needs with you and will recommend the appropriate chair, dimensions, backrest configuration, number of motors, fabrics etc. so you can buy in confidence.
HAD’s seating clinic offers on site appointments at HAD on Fridays for those that can travel to us.
Tuesdays are reserved strictly for home visits, for when a customer is immobile, and cannot travel to us for their assessment.
