Andrew has an MSc in Development Management and is a specialist in social enterprise, project management and evaluation, although he started as a plant physiologist. He is now a Director of Social Enterprise International Ltd and for a period managed the British Council’s social enterprise programmes globally. He is also Trustee of two internationally focussed charities Village Water (working in Zambia and Mozambique) of which he is chair and the Gen Initiative which works in India. He is also a member of the Rotary Club of Hatfield.
Working for the British Council for 27 years including 19 years living overseas, he has managed development projects in education, governance and health services, and was the Director of British Council in Pakistan, Philippines and Indonesia. He is married with two children and two grandchildren all living locally.
